Slane Company was founded in 1984. Its core business is land development
and developing strip shopping centers anchored by supermarkets and
freestanding drug stores. Slane Company also has ownership interest in a
diverse range of businesses, including a tower company, an industrial
gas turbine company, an energy company, a lumber import company, a
furniture manufacturing facility, along with a wireless internet/VOIP/broadband
supplier.
The company locates sites, finances, constructs, owns and manages their
commercial properties and investments.
Based in Columbus, Ohio, the company has developed commercial property
in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Michigan, New York, New Jersey,
Maryland, Kentucky, Maine, West Virginia, Georgia and Florida.
Daniel M. Slane, Co Owner
Dan Slane received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business
Administration in 1964, and a Juris Doctor’s Degree in Law in 1967 from
The Ohio State University. For more than twenty years, Mr. Slane was an
attorney and partner with the law firm of Grieser, Schafer, Blumenstiel
& Slane Co., L.P.A. Mr. Slane has extensive real estate experience and
serves as the President of The Slane Company. Mr. Slane was appointed by
the Governor to the Board of Trustees at The Ohio State University and
is a member of the Board of Trustees of The Arthur G. James Cancer
Hospital.
Charles J. Slane, Co Owner
Charles Slane received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business
Administration in 1969 from Rutgers University and a Juris Doctor’s
Degree in Law from Columbia University in 1972. From 1977 to 1995
Charles was assistant general counsel, vice president and secretary to
Rite Aid Corporation, a New York Stock Exchange retail chain drug store
company. He has extensive real estate experience and supervised all of
Rite Aid Corporation’s real Estate work. Charles Slane is also Chief
Executive Officer of Slane Telcom, Ltd.
